Do you know?
BB creams were originally formulated by a dermatologist to help their patients’ skin heal after facial peels and surgery to provide coverage while their skin was healing.
Korean BB creams combine excellent coverage with skincare benefits, such as SPF and “whitening” (which refers to lightening hyper-pigmentation to even out your skin tone, not to skin bleaching). Sounds amazing, right?

Hello! I am back with my review of Whamisa’s latest product release – Whamisa Organic Flowers BB Pact Natural Expression.
This BB pact is packed with only natural ingredients that moisturise the skin and also helps to cover blemishes leaving your skin dewy and radiant.
PRODUCT FIRST IMPRESSION
It comes in a cool looking black box with the ingredient list on the side.
The puff is soft and upon removing the protection sticker, there’re tiny holes (like a flower) where the foundation will be dispensed upon pressing it.
The BB pact does not include an additional refiller, but can be purchase separately.
I don’t normally like the scent of a cosmetic item. But this smells really nice – very light scent.
It is available in 3 shades (16g):
- SHADE 21 LIGHT BEIGE *
- SHADE 23 NATURAL BEIGE
- SHADE 21 PINK BEIGE
I have been using Shade #21 for most of my cushion, hence I’m trying out the Shade 21 – LIGHT BEIGE. This BB Pact has SPF50+ / PA++++ and also brightening and anti-wrinkle function.
Swatches in comparison to other brands:
- Laneige Beige #21
- Klairs Mochi BB Cushion
- Whamisa Light Beige #21
Whamisa Light Beige #21 has a white tone on my skin in comparison to the other brands. Upon first application, sad to say that I might have tanned from my Hamilton trip and I was instantly transformed into Casper! I might have applied too much as well on my face and it was leaving a white cast. Panic, I tried a few times by slowly dabbing little by little onto my face and it got better (phew!). It was still leaving a slight white cast on my face, due to the higher % of zinc oxide (sunscreen formulation) in the formula.
Aloe Vera Extract (41.26%) – Whamisa brings only botanical extracts of aloe in their products which forms the base of this product. It moisturises and heals the skin with its nourishing qualities.
Camellia Sinensis Leaf Extract (Green Tea) – Oh Matcha! Green Tea Extract is naturally rich in antioxidant and it includes anti-ageing properties. It helps to moisturise the skin as well leaving baby soft skin.
Concerns, Tips & Recommendations:
As mentioned above, the shade was a bit too white for my skin tone. To fix that, I start by lightly patting it for a thin layer and slowly build up on my face. Next, I add another layer of loose powder to set the BB Pact.
RECOMMENDATION OF APPLICATION & TIPS
How to apply:
- Collect an appropriate amount by pressing the cushion gently with the puff
- Pat gently and lightly on the face
- Repeat if needed for better coverage
Both my mum and sister tried it as well and this light beige shade suits them well as they are fairer than me. I reckon I might be more suitable for Shade 23 Natural Beige. Nevertheless, the Whamisa BB Pact did cover my blemishes and brighten my dull skin by giving me the ‘gwang’ look that I am really happy with! The coverage for this BB pact is medium yet buildable for better coverage based on individual preference. I love how it gives me a dewy finish and does not dry out my skin after a long day. It feels light on my skin even with an extra layer of loose powder to set it. GWANG!
